Franklin & Marshall College

Taking him back to where it all began, Jay (Class of ’87) proudly undertook his first large-scale institutional design project at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 2007.  As a member of F&M’s 200th graduating class and a student of history, his participation in a special research seminar as an F&M junior introduced Jay to the archives at his alma mater and its vast holdings on the school’s rich and interesting history.  Two decades after his graduation and by his own design, Jay was hired to tell the story of the college’s history in a series of permanent installations using historic photos, documents & artifacts into what was dubbed “The F&M Trail of History.”   After hours of archival research and hunting for artifacts, Jay was introduced to the world of image restoration, reimagined and created collection of portraits & photographs as a stunning hall of notable faces and brought to life countless photos and artifacts that celebrated a magnificent timeline of education, athletics and life on ‘College Hill.’
