Manufacturers Golf & Country Club

Emerging as perhaps his favorite of the different country club projects completed by PALLADIO, Jay spent many months telling the story of the Manufacturers Club on the walls of its magnificent mansion turned private club in the 1930s.  Drawn to the Club’s evolution from its center city Philadelphia roots as a businessmen’s club for manufacturing magnates to its present-day suburban club on the grounds of what was first a farm and later, a magnificent country estate.  Using the same formula of extensive archival research, casting a net to find Club artifacts and keepsakes, high level graphic design and the stunning photography of Ian Campbell, Jay exceeded his own expectations.  As members and guests travel from the former mansion’s reception area & dining areas to the breath-taking, 2-story contemporary glass bar, each space is dedicated to the different chapters of the Club’s history.  The artwork was designed to complement the style of each space while paying tribute to its period of history – and combined, the entire collection is a quiet tribute to the Club’s history and magnificent addition to the Manufacturer’s brand.
