Residential Interiors

Jay has been interested in the arrangement & organization of interior space for the entirety of his educational & professional careers.  It is only fitting that, as PALLADIO evolved over the past 25 years, he has had the opportunity to integrate the principles of space, form & function and his design instincts into many of his clients’ houses, farms, & vacation houses.  Often as a channel to get to the proper treatment of walls, Jay has completely rearranged rooms, designed millwork, changed color schemes, introduced wallpapers, improved lighting, arranged bookshelves of course finishes the spaces with artwork; he has also designed several additions.  Most recently, he has taken on the roles of project manager & architect of full interior design projects.  On occasion, Jay will complement the process of interior design with landscape or garden design -- pulling from his former career in landscape design, conservation & restoration.
