Whitemarsh Valley Country Club
Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, PA, has one of the most beautiful golf courses and surrounding suburban countrysides in the region. In addition, the Club has hosted many major tournaments during its long history and with it, has fascinating archives, antique photographs and Club memorabilia that date back to the early 1900s.
Following the Club’s last renovation, the Club president contacted Jay because of his reputation of working with old photographs and artifacts and his talent for storytelling. Using his investigative and research skills, Jay worked with the Club, its archives, its members and anyone that had access to WVCC memorabilia to set the scope of the project. Using the magic of image restoration, clever object framing and the photographic genius of Ian Campbell, the walls of Whitemarsh came to life and, with a highly designed combination of styles, and celebrate a history that began in 1908. Whether one of its many embroidered Club logos, silhouette botanicals made from WVCC tree cuttings, pitchers filled with reproduction matchbooks or hand-painted mirrors & sconces, the brand of the Club is there… subtle but designed, and in way that celebrates its important history.
